Head of Global Mobility chez Airbus

What is your background?
I have a financial background, mainly through my studies. For some fifteen years, I was a financial controller. Part of this experience was in management of international subsidiaries where I gained experience in international mobility. And naturally, I joined HR five years ago, to manage international mobility for Airbus.

What motivates you the most in this profession?
What drives me the most is diversity because the international mobility matrix is so wide-ranging. And as I like complexity and discovering new subjects, this part of human resources offers a hyper-vast range of subjects and you never reach an end, and that's really what I find so interesting. There's also the management of a large, international team and this openness on the world that mobility offers, it’s absolutely incredible.
On geopolitics and regulations, which is the source of all questions and adaptations that we must bring to bear on mobility itself on a daily basis and then the expertise expected of the function.

What are your main challenges?
There are several issues for the group. The number one issue is compliance. Compliance is the security expected of the function when an employee and their family move. The second is our teams’ expertise.
Finding versatile resources on the market who are experts in the field isn’t easy it has to be said. So growing the team's expertise. And the third, I'd say, is meeting customer expectations on the policies themselves, their content.
When I say customer, I obviously mean the employee, and the internal customer, the manager who wants to attract a resource for a specific need. Which is an equation that is not always easy to solve.

What is your hidden talent?
I'm still looking for my hidden talent. Well, if I had one... I don't know if it's a talent, but I'm a bit of a handyman.
