Data protection policy

The Cercle Magellan commits to ensuring that handling of personal data through this site is in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and law 78-17 of 6 January 1978 amended, on IT, files and freedoms.

Statistics collected are used to enrich users’ experience of the site, provide better information and thereby contribute to improving the Cercle Magellan’s services.

Gathering and use of data

Data is provided on a voluntary basis, and is collected principally to put site users and the Cercle Magellan team in touch.
Data gathered is subject to computer processing in the legitimate interests of the Cercle Magellan.

Information and exercise of rights

In order to ensure confidentiality and protection of personal data, the Cercle Magellan has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who acts independently.
The DPO is a contact specializing in personal data protection; they are in charge of ensuring the proper application of data protection rules, and are the first point of contact for the CNIL and for all persons concerned by personal data collection or processing.

The user has, under the conditions set by the applicable regulations, the following rights: access to personal data collected, correction or update of incorrect, incomplete or outdated data, deletion, limitation of or opposition for legitimate reasons, portability.
To exercise these rights, users are invited to make an express request by email to dpo@magellan-network.com or by post to the Cercle Magellan, attention of the DPO, 8 rue Armand Moisant, 75015 Paris.

The user can also make a complaint to the data protection regulatory agency.

Data collected is hosted by OVH. The web host guarantees that its servers will remain located in the European Union.
