What I find particularly interesting about the club is the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers. These discussions can give us new perspectives or reassure us that, while we may not have the best possible solution, ultimately, no one else necessarily has one either. Sometimes, it is through conversations with peers that we come up with ideas that we would never have thought of on our own, especially if we remain within the same environment and way of thinking. I think this richness, this opportunity to meet and exchange with peers from different industries and sectors, is really what makes the Cercle Magellan so valuable.

First of all, there are all the meetings and conferences, which allow me to stay up to date on all the areas we discussed earlier. Then there is the forum, which I also use from time to time to ask very specific questions. Finally, there are the country reports. Whenever we expand into a new country, I read the entire report to get a good understanding of the key issues and challenges involved, and then identify the areas that require further investigation.

A network of HR professionals with whom I can share our experiences, our day-to-day challenges, our successes as well as the lessons learned, while also gaining valuable insights into how our profession is evolving and what the coming years may hold.

An inter-company community in which we can share, challenge our practices, feed off the brilliant successes of others and find out how others are facing up to the challenges that we are all facing. All in a supportive and open atmosphere, and supported by a dream team, of course!

I can very highly recommend the Magellan Network as an endless and reliable source of benchmarking and technical information. I appreciate the mix of targeted technical subjects with more future-focused topics, which often let us stretch our imaginations by taking a step back in how we think about our organizations. Beyond the network, it is about feedback on practices given simply and confidentially, which save us a lot of time. And it is also good to see that many others are asking themselves the same questions, for which some have already explored ideas for solutions.

Opportunities to discuss topical issues as well as to share experiences, which is always very useful. Not forgetting the chance for some quality time with colleagues.
