The club offers a wide range of meetings, alternating expert speakers, company testimonials, group work and benchmarks among members. The club meets throughout the year in different event formats, including:

Annual Conference

The event of the year, the annual conference is aimed at managers and takes place over two days in a prestigious venue with a collegial atmosphere perfect for discussion: HR outlook and strategy are the underlying themes of this event.

Plenary Session

The plenary session gives you the chance to spend a day sharing and discussing topical subjects. The meeting includes a cocktail reception and seated lunch, as well as a meeting between Magellan members and service providers.

Meetings and case studies

At these meetings, members spend the day working in groups on practical exercises. Experts are on hand to help members solve the cases and to answer any questions that may arise. Case studies allow you to review and update your knowledge.

The International Mobility Club also organizes meetings for members based in or around Lille and Lyon.

Country Focus

Each year, the Magellan Network organizes a meeting for members of all three clubs to come together to exchange on HR issues and practices in one chosen country. Different HR professionals and experts are invited to bring members of our three clubs their insights on cross-cultural concerns, trends in compensation and benefits, issues surrounding international mobility to and from the country, and talent management.

It is an excellent opportunity to build dialogue and synergies between different HR departments!

After-work drinks

A chance for members of the network's three clubs to get together for a drink at a Parisian street café to celebrate the start of the summer!

Managers’ Dinner

Dinner for international mobility managers with a guest host.

Other activities

  • Permanent working groups The Magellan Network also offers its members the opportunity to participate in working groups run by members known for their expertise in the field. The aim of these working groups is to meet throughout the year to work on a specific subject. These commissions give rise to the preparation of a summary published online and available to all members.
  • Benchmarks Benchmarks can be organized as full or half-day sessions when a number of members request to discuss a topical subject. Company policies and data are exchanged confidentially. Only benchmark participants receive the results and report.
