What is your role?

My role as Senior Manager Executive Compensation & International Mobility at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield is to find simple and effective solutions to complex HR issues. 
I am lucky enough to play a role in a wide range of subjects related to executive compensation, long-term variable pay and international mobility at Group level. 
The common feature of all these subjects is to require all support functions (HR, legal, finance, IT and ESG) to act together in the service of the value chain while ensuring legal and fiscal compliance.
My ultimate goal is to contribute to positioning the HR function as a business partner.

What is your hidden talent?

I have mastered the art of a good Beef Wellington. I highly recommend this British recipe for the festive season. It is tenderloin covered in a chestnut and mushroom stuffing, cooked in flaky pastry.
My little secret is to wrap the meat and stuffing in thin slices of dry-cured ham to keep the pastry nice and crispy...

What do you like the most about your job?

What I like the most about this job is how challenging it is. We work in a context that is in perpetual change, driving us to keep moving forwards and to seek to improve existing solutions. 
It is also a high impact occupation, even if we often work behind the scenes, and I find it fulfilling to bring something to the table to "make it happen". 

Any advice for people new to the profession?

I would say to anyone looking for a new career or new challenges that:

  1. if you are inquisitive and love learning;
  2. if you like taking care of others;
  3. if you like going in-depth on technical subjects;
  4. and if you are not afraid of figures (and Excel);

then apply for a job in Comp & Ben, you might never look back!
