Anne-Karine Feyel

Compensation and benefits, international mobility, HRIS director
Axens

What is your role?

I am in charge of back-office for the HR function of a French company with an international presence: compensation, HRIS and mobility. My role is to set what should be global rules versus what remains local. My team and I offer operational support to managers on this.

What is your hidden talent?

My husband! He looks after the children and does the housework, which has allowed me to be a mum of 4.

What do you like the most about your job?

Responding to the company’s challenges by providing secure, sensitive solutions to allow our staff to flourish in their careers and to benefit from the organization’s longevity.

Any advice for people new to the profession?

Be curious, keep learning. The compliance aspect of the HR function is becoming increasingly important. You have to be able to understand the company’s challenges and to provide a secure response (alone or with expert help).
