1998

  • Set-up of the Magellan Network and the first Steering and Development Committee on 17 June 1998

1999

  • Launch of the HR Documentation section of the site, available to members only

2001

  • The Development Committee grants the Magellan Network international status. The website is updated to reflect this.
  • Inauguration of the first International Member Conference, with participants from Belgium, France, Spain and Switzerland.

2002

  • Launch of benchmark and working groups

2003

  • Overhaul of the members-only area of the website and launch of new sections
  • Reform of service provider status and publication of the first accredited service provider directory.
  • A new status - Official Fellow - is introduced

2004

  • The Magellan Institute (professional training institute) is set up

2005

  • Launch of immigration working groups
  • The Magellan International Mobility Board was established in France
  • Publication of the International Mobility White Paper for France

2006

  • Launch of the International Comp and Ben Club
  • Publication of the International Mobility Blue Book for Europe

2007

  • The Magellan Network becomes the leading global network for information and exchange among international human resources professionals
  • New website goes live
  • First video-conferences for members of our delegations held

2009

  • Launch of the International Talent Management Club
  • Publication of the Magellan International Mobility occupational handbook

2011

  • Publication of the new Magellan International Board white paper

2012

  • Publication of the Magellan International Compensation and Benefits occupational handbook

2014

  • New edition of the Magellan International Board white paper
  • Publication of Enjeux RH dans les Entreprises Internationales by Yves Girouard

2016
